About MedRotate
A free, public clinical rotation directory — built for students, by people who've been through it.
Who this is for
MedRotate is built for medical students, IMGs, FMGs, and residency applicants who need to find and verify potential clerkship and elective sites quickly. Facility records, source links, and public identifiers are free to view. There is no login wall.
Where the data comes from
We pull from public, government-maintained, and openly licensed sources. Nothing is invented. The live counts on the Data Sources page show which enrichment sources are currently populated.
- Facilities & NPIs — NPPES NPI Registry (CMS).
- Optional teaching hospital flags & bed counts — CMS Hospital General Information.
- Optional ACGME accreditation and program rows — ACGME Accreditation Data System.
- Optional geocoding — OpenStreetMap Nominatim (© OpenStreetMap contributors).
For live dataset counts and provenance breakdown, see Data Sources.
How to contribute updates
If you spot stale contact info, missing programs, or an outright error, the fastest path is to use the “Report outdated info” or “Submit contact info” links on each facility page. Facility coordinators can claim a listing via the For Facilities portal.
Not affiliated
MedRotate is independent. We are not affiliated with CMS, ACGME, the NPPES, OpenStreetMap, or any listed facility. Trademarks belong to their respective owners.
